Elevation points

This file of elevation points contains the location (X and Y) as well as elevation (Z). These points were created for the acquisition of the City's 2002 orthophotos and have been marginally modified since then (in 2004, 2006 and 2008). Modifications occurred in some, but probably not all, areas where there were significant changes in the terrain due to development. However, these points should not be taken to be authoritative or anything more than approximate because of the process by which they have been created. This is not a digital elevation model (DEM) per se.

This dataset has not yet been converted to a format compatible with our new platform. The following link provdes access to the file from our our legacy site:

Each point has X and Y coordinates and Z elevation.

Coordinate system

DWG formatted data are projected in UTM Zone 10N, NAD83 (CSRS)

Data currency

This data was originally created in 2002 and has been marginally updated on a few occasions since then.

Data accuracy

These points should be considered to be approximate.
