Your information and how we use it

The City of Vancouver collects your personal information in accordance with section 26(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act for purposes of administering the City’s Open Data Portal website. If you have questions about the collection or use of your personal information by the City, contact the director of Information Access and Privacy by phone at 3-1-1 or email at privacy@vancouver.ca.

Any personal information provided during account creation will also be collected by OPENDATASOFT and may be collected by their service providers and integrated platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. While OPENDATASOFT stores information in Canada, personal information accessed and used by their service providers maybe transmitted or stored outside Canada. By choosing to create an account, you are consenting to the collection and use of your personal information by OPENDATASOFT and associated providers in accordance with their privacy policies. Consent will be immediate upon registration and will remain in effect until you otherwise notify the organization(s) holding your information.
